Are there any incompatibilities with Djay and OS X 10.11 El Capitan?

Thinking about upgrading my MacBook Pro to OS X 10.11 El Capitan. Just need to know if there are any issues with Djay.

I’m having the same issue with my Terminal Mix 4. Did you ever find a fix for it?

Solving the momentary freezes:
1st ask yourself is the bottom casing on your laptop very Hot?
If the answer is YES , , , then your Hard-Drive has been running excessively too long and needs to cool off for about 4-6 hrs. Shut it down Now ! ! !

Then Restart your laptop after 4-6 hrs of rest (Cool-down) and you will not have the momentary freezes anymore until it gets hot again.

Note:
Don’t leave your laptop on night and day because it will get Hot and create problems with it’s functionality.
(Djay Pro and Mac El Capitan)

Hopefully this will work out for everyone,It worked for me.

One more thing this also works if your MagSafe charger is not charging your laptop , , , Let it cool down for 4-6 hrs. and it will begin charging again.

Looks like you found your answer…

Upgrade and it works fine.

It’s not a resource hog in my system. Works great.
What are your specs?

My Djay Pro indicates no CPU usage no matter what I am doing.

May I suggest that you try DJPro WITHOUT the sound card attached and see where the CPU Usage is. Then, try it with the sound card/controller hooked up.

It may be that your device is simply not compatible.

ok… Djay Pro is what i use.

14 hour stresstest with El Capitan and DJ Pro.
Changing between Itunes,ext.Drive and Spotify.
Different controls via VMS 4 - NO PROBLEMS !

2010 macbook core duo, 8gb El Capitan Latest DJ pro, no problems so far.
Denon MC6000 (1st gen).

Can’t you run them both?

Hi Guys,

djay Pro is compatible with OS X 10.11 El Capitan.
Please note that some controller’s drivers are not yet compatible with the new operating system.
Make sure that your controller is compatible with Mac OS 10.11 before upgrading.

Best Regards,
Lukas

djay Pro is compatible with El Capitan, as well.

I recently purchased a Vestax Spin to use as a spare car . Should I upgrade the controller firmware to do better interact with Djay Pro 1.2.1 ? Known delays when using the gain to increase the volume and pitch ( slider ) occasionally enchant . Thank you for any advice about .

Hi there,

I also am a user of the older Djay version.

Since the upgrade the only reaction you get is a window letting you send an error message, before the app shuts down.

Is there / will there be an update or is it sink or swim and only the Pro version will work?

After upgrading to El Capitan i have problems with my Djay Pro + Terminal mix 4. There is problem with master output. After reconfiguration Master Output it just resets all the time to internal MacBook speakers… :frowning:

No, i don’t know any fix for now… I’m vaiting for elCapitan & DjayPro updates. Hope one of them will fix this bug.

what about the original version of day

I have the original version of DJAY (v3.1.4) trying to decide if I need to upgrade to pro, but would like to keep my old version for the cleaner display.

I run djay 2 with a beat pad on my iPad.

Since loading El Capitan DJAY is not responding. Wondering if there are other issues, or if algoriddim has just given up on the original. I have been a user since the software came out.
