Blank White Screen when trying to log into Spotify via Djay Pro 2

I just bought the paid version of Djay Pro 2 for Mac
(MacBook Pro (Retina, 13-inch, Mid 2014)

I have an up to date operating system, paid premium spotify membership, and up to date app.

I am getting a blank white screen when trying to log in. I specifically purchased this software for the Spotify capability and integration. However it JUST does not work.

I am so very desperate for help or a solution to this.

Same issue, same MacOS. Will be requesting refund unless this is fixed ASAP…

I ran a packet capture and I see an attempt to connect to 104.154.127.47 over TLSv1.2. That IP address seems to be owned by Google and I see several Spotify domains registered to it.

If I browse to https://104.154.127.47 I get an warning (as the IP address doesn’t match the wildcard domain of the SSL certificate) and after I accept/proceed, I see what appears to be json output:

{“ap_list”:[“guc3-accesspoint-b-ccb7.ap.spotify.com:4070”,“guc3-accesspoint-b-gkfz.ap.spotify.com:443”,“guc3-accesspoint-b-5xpp.ap.spotify.com:80”,“guc3-accesspoint-b-l5xf.ap.spotify.com:4070”,“guc3-accesspoint-b-gt87.ap.spotify.com:443”,“guc3-accesspoint-b-wzs5.ap.spotify.com:80”,“gae2-accesspoint-b-nrd3.ap.spotify.com:4070”,“gae2-accesspoint-b-nvxs.ap.spotify.com:443”,“gae2-accesspoint-b-jxwn.ap.spotify.com:80”]}

I’m in the process of installing the latest security update, in case this is related to some sort of SSL/TLS compatibility/security issue…

Security upgrade had no effect. When I open the actual Spotify App, I see the same IP being contacted, followed by another IP which I can only assume is due to a redirect:

413 71.295486 104.154.127.47 → 10.0.1.240 TLSv1.2 966 Application Data
414 71.295579 10.0.1.240 → 104.154.127.47 TCP 52 49252 → 443 [ACK] Seq=4762 Ack=8220 Win=130144 Len=0 TSval=1000721737 TSecr=129229319

I’m in the process of upgrading openssl to see if that makes a difference.

No luck after upgrading openssl and from what I’ve read, Apple deprecated openssl in favor of its own crypto libraries… not sure who to point the finger at at this point.

I cannot unfortunately, I’m on an older MacBook (intel-based) and cannot upgrade to High Sierra. Given that other users are having this issue on different platforms, this seems to indicate some sort of issue with Spotify’s login APIs that the Djay application is using. Has that been investigated at all?

I’ll add that I had the demo Djay Pro 2 app installed on my iMac and it was previously able to connect to my Spotify account. In fact, prior to posting here, I was logged in and could access my playlists, etc. I logged out, and when I went to log back in, ran into this same “white page” issue.

I’ll be curious to know the details of the issue and what corrective actions will be taken to prevent this from re-occurring in the future.

Any news on this topic? How long take to Algoriddim to respond?

Hi guys,

I am very sorry to hear that.

Thank you for all your information, this has a very high priority to us and we will do our best in order to fix the problem as fast as possible.

Could you try to right click the blank login window and “Reload” it?

Is this helping?

Thank you in advance for the follow up.

I can confirm, the issue was fixed by Spotify

Thank you all for pointing out the problem.

Hey Wayne,

Thanks for the response. I am running it on my MacBook Pro (Retina, 13-inch, Mid 2014) with El Capitan (10.11.16) Someone else had this same issue and once they switched to High Sierra, it worked. I have yet to try this.

I do believe the upgrade to the new OS is free though, so many be worth a try?

Wayne, Updating my OS did solve my login issue, just FYI. I apologize.

I do not think everyone knows what all you are saying, Could you possibly put it in more digestible format? Thanks!

Hmmm, that is a great question. Are you able to upgrade your OS to High Sierra? That was a fix for me.

have you recently updated iOS on your ipad? if so, it may be the issue. If not, it may be the solution. However this thread pertains to the issue on Mac.

Hi have the same problem with my ipad since yesterday. It was working fine the days before.
How to fix this?

Reload doesnt help
