Crossfader broken using DDJ-SB2 with Djay Pro 2

Recently I noticed that the crossfader control on my Pioneer DDJ-SB2 isn’t working properly with Djay Pro 2 (2.0.4) or rather Djay isn’t responding properly when I move the crossfader from one side to the other. Regardless of the crossfader curve setting in djay, when I start to slide the crossfader on the SB2 from the left side (deck 1) towards the right side (deck 2) djay puts the crossfader setting immediately in the middle and only when I have the crossfader all the way to the right does the crossfader on djay jump immediately to the right (basically acting as a three way switch instead of a fader). I have tried all the crossfader curve settings and played with the mixer transition style setting (automatic and fader) but so far nothing fixes the behavior. Note that I’m sure the SB2 is working OK MIDI wise because:

  1. I can see CC31-Mixer-Crossfader selected in the MIDI configuration in djay when I move the crossfader on the SB2.
  2. If I run Djay Pro (the original, not 2) with the SB2 the crossfader works normally.

I would love to know if there is a fix for my issue, thoughts?

BTW, this is on a 2014 Macbook Pro running High Sierra 10.13.4.

I’ve made a screen capture movie showing the crossfader behavior when I slide the crossfader control on the SB2. The problem is that the movie is 13MB, too large to email so is there another way I can get it to you? Note, I’ve put the movie here:

I have another screen capture of the SB2 controlling the crossfader in Djay Pro (the first app, not Djay Pro 2). This shows the crossfader working normally. Note that in both the video showing the djay pro 2 problem and this video I’m basically moving the crossfader on the SB2 from one side to the other.

Another data point is that when I run djay pro 2 on a different Mac running Sierra (not High Sierra) the SB2 crossfader control works normally.
