Spotify login not working- PLS HELP!!

Just bought djay 2 for iPhone (6S, iOS 9.3.2, everything up to date). I also have Spotify Premium. When I try to login with FB credentials, I get an error message that says "Log in Failed: The operation couldn’t be completed. (NSURLErrorDomain error -999). When I try to log in manually, it tells me my username/password are not correct even though I can easily log in and out of both FB and Spotify with the same username/password.

I either need a solution or a refund.

this is due to server issue, we are sorry that you are experiencing this.

Could you please try to log into Spotify with another network, maybe at your work for example.

Also could you check if you can log into Spotify with your Facebook connected account in the Spotify app?

Hi guys,

we are sorry to tell you but we are still working on the fix of this issue.
In the meantime it would be great if you try the following:

  1. Connect your iPhone to a stable Wifi signal
  2. log into Facebook with your Safari browser
  3. open djay 2 and connect to Spotify

We are testing our fix at the moment and hope that it will go live as fast as possible.

In the meantime please turn on the Flight mode and connect to a Wifi connection.
Now log in to Facebook in the Safari browser and try to log in to Spotify again.

as you can see finding a proper fix for this bug was not easy with three involved parties. Our update with a fix to the problem is on its way and in the meantime the latest work around suggestion is “working” the best.

“Please turn on the Flight mode and connect to a Wifi connection.
Now log in to Facebook in the Safari browser and try to log in to the djay Spotify integration again.”

Please make sure that you are definitely not connected to a mobile network during the whole procedure.

Everything works 100% fine in the Spotify app. Nothing works at all in the djay app and I tried it on about 3 different networks. No luck.

I either need this issue to be resolved within a week or I need a refund.

I get this same error “NSURLErrorDomain error -999” when I try to log in with Spotify.

I tried your solution and it still doesn’t work. What do I do??

I just bought this app this morning and am getting the (NSURLErrorDomain error -999) error as well. Spotify works fine in DJay 2 but I can’t login with Djay Pro. I press “login with Spotify” and the window pops up briefly before disappearing and showing the above error message.
I’m using on a iPad 2.

I ended up just creating a new “non-facebook” account in Spotify. It logs in fine outside of Facebook. Spotify was nice enough to port over all my playlists, saved songs, and followers to my new “non-facebook” login. They even credited my new account for a full month since I just paid for my next 30 days in my Facbook login. At least their customer service is quick and responsive!

I’m a bit disappointed that there has been a serious lack in response and action by Algoriddim. I just paid $19.99 for an app that really didn’t work as expected.

I want my $19.99 back. I’ve had to inconvenience myself by creating a new account in Spotify and having to go out of my way to get the app to work.

While I had to setup a new Spotify account (Non-Facebook) to remedy the situation, I still believe in the DJay software and I’ve decided not to pursue a refund with Apple. I believe in the software and find it to be a very useful tool to DJ with. Lukas has been very responsive via personal email and has tried to help correct the issue.

WHEN IS THIS GOING TO BE FIXED!! I just purchased idj pro and was unable to log into Spotify, figured it was cause I was logged in on the idj 2 all so I logged out. Now I can’t log into either app!! Come one Algoriddm get your stuff together!!!

Same here…had to restore IPad so Now I cannot login To Spotify on DJ Pro. Eror Code 999.
