In the past I have never worried about having any leader (flatline silence) at the beginning of a song. However because of the way sync works it appears it will only join at a downbeat. If the beginning of the song is mid measure the sync will not play that portion. it will start in motion after this partial measure.
You are then left with trying to manually start at the exact right interval. So I am wondering how to tackle this issue. One way would be to add leader to the songs. I am not sure if there is a quick and dirty way to do this. I haven’t tried but I am guessing you cannot edit a DRM without coping or ripping it.
Perhaps I missed the mark completely on the solution and there is another way to force sync to not wait for a down beat.
