Not stupid … Its not well explained in the software.
Analyse means check each song to determine key and BPM.
I would do it once on your whole library … Do it overnight if you have a lot of music … After that you only need to do it on new music … Or when you load the track for the first time it automatically analyses the track.

Correct. You need to anylise all your music files so they sync properly too.
