When you search for this online, someone has done something like that, but it seems complicated.

this is possible if…
- the external drive is iOS ready and has a management application.
- it is a wifi drive with a management application.
The point here is that you need to root the locally on the iOS device stored application with djay in order to select files from the external drive.
