^ You can map all that stuff yourself. I posted a mapping in this thread that you can download and use. I really need the stuff to work that requires under the hood coding like the multiple level buttons, LED ring platter, LED track volume levels, left and right screens. Not against a beta release with lesser functionality though, but my hope is that we get a Serato like experience with Djay pro and the MCX8000.

That's odd. Just tested it on my end and it's the same. You'll need to delete the ".txt" on the file name.

Any help here would be appreciated. Does this same file work for Windows version? If I double click it, I get a container error, no idea what to do.

Can we please get native support for the Denon MCX8000? Yes this is an amazing controller with Prime engine software built in and comes with a serato DJ license, but I've purchased chased DJay Pro and would like to continue using it.

I think we should be asking Denon to support Djay, because Algoriddim loses nothing when you buy another hardware, we already own the Djay software so it's no loss to them. Denon is the company that needs to get this done, it's already in the Denon MC4000, and they are the one who wants to gain market share on Pioneer.

This is very true, however, I wouldn't hold my breath as Djay Pro users that also have a Denon MCX 8000, or that would like to purchase one to use with Djay Pro, are a very small demographic. By this logic, they should be promoting it for use with Virtual DJ and Traktor which both have a larger user base than Djay Pro I would assume. Algoriddim didn't support the Numark Mixtrack Platinum at first and said they wouldn't, yet they ended up getting it done. Let's hope they come through with Native support for the Denon MCX8000 as well as I don't see Denon caring to give them a friendly nudge.

A good idea is, they charge a fee which would at least give us the option to purchase the software to work with the Denon MCX8000

Not crazy about paying for extra compatibility. I would assume that the more controllers the software is compatible with, the more sales of said software. Having said that, I guess paying $5 or $7 for would be an option, but at hat point, I think you would start to create I'll will toward the Algoriddim and their software. Then who decides which controllers receive Native control and which don't. I think it would turn people off.

I was going to purchase this as it was specifically made with Djay in mind, but I want the option of being natively compatible with Serator as well mainly for the pitch N time and Flip add ons. Also like the fact that the Denon MCX8000 is a stand alone mixer and has great mic inputs. I was really tempted for a while with the Mixon 4. Enjoy.

I was DJing a prom Saturday night and I've been using the 8000 in stand alone mode since I got it. Just file browse mode with my playlists in each folder. I connected the laptop to the 8000 and ran this program and the sound works great, cuing and master out through the 8000. I only use it for requests that I need to search for because searching on the 8000 in stand alone mode is for the birds. I tried to do a quick mapping but couldn't figure it out at the gig. Is there like a visual mapping capability? Like where you move a control and click on the screen what it should control? I guess I need to spend some home time with this or find the mapping someone here created and give it a go.

Come on Algoriddim, put some basic capability in your software ! ! ! ! !

That's pretty much exactly how it works. As long as you have the mapping window open when you move a control knob it will show that control on screen then you choose the function of the knob. I recommend you start with my mapping and just modify it to your liking. If you start from scratch it will take a while.

I just downloaded your file DENON DJ MCX8000 V2.djayMidiMapping.txt and will give this a shot. Thank you ! ! !

I opened the midi screen and moved a few faders, knobs, etc. but didn't notice anything happening on the laptop. It was at the gig so was only paying half attention. Will try this later and see what I can do.

Thanks again!

This reply was created from a merged topic originally titled When you will have djay pro support natively for denon MCX8000.

We already have many users that have this controller.
I would like to be able to use this great software with my controller natively including the screens.
For now I have achieved thanks to a user who has uploaded a mapping but the pre listener does not work and many functions are not yet mapped.
Has the support of Algoriddim thought to introduce this controller within which it supports natively?
Thanks in advance.
Greetings .

Which mapping? If it was the one I posted in this thread the cue / pre listening should work.

I have tested Pioneer SX2, Pioneer XDJ, Denon MC8000 and Denon MC 7000.

Since I used Spotify I do not want deal anymore with Memory Sticks. Controller who support Memory Sticks are not interesting for me anymore. Djay Pro is handling Memorysticks better then every embedded Software on a controller.

I like screens but this lock me into a single Software vendor. I want use DJay Pro, Serato, Traktor and Virtual DJ.

The best Controller for me is Denon MC 7000 because he feel similar to Pioneer SX2 but with 2 USB, seperate channel for Mic,2 XLR Outputs and some more small details.

I wouldn't hold my breath. If it's been well over a year and a half since the MCX8000 came out , and there is still no native mapping for the Mac version, I don't see there being any version for Windows. If hey ever come out with native support for it on Mac, then, and only then would I expect to see that same compatibility for the Wkindows version.

If there is a native mapping, it run on Windows, Mac, iPhone and iPad. You only need to copy the mapping file.

You will not get any comment from Allgorithm when a Denon Mapping is coming because Allgorithm is a small team and has a lot to do and can not give you a date.

I personally are waiting for a Denon MC 7000 Mapping. I hope we will get one this summer. It the best Controller on the market and very similar to Pioneer SX2

Never. Controller has been out for a long while and if there is no mapping by now, it's very obvious that we will never get it. Consider buying another software or change your controller.

I love the MCX8000 and I "like" DJay Pro. So I guess I'll keep the Denon and just tolerate Serato or just use Engine to mix. Oh well. Thanks a lot Algoriddim.

Guys, I hate to say it, but I believe its a "loss cause".. When a company gives you over a year of excuses why they have not complied to customer's requests; its not much you can expect by this time. I am personally waiting for them to map the MC 7000; but if they havent got to the 800; that means, that I am way far at the end of the line.

Cheers

Djay Pro has a few very good features that glue customers to the App. That's Spotify integration and clean user interface.

But the behavior of some features are no predictable, bugs are not solved over Months/Years and god selling Controller are not supported over months/years.

Priority
1. Bug fixes
2. fix non predictical behavior of existing features
3. Allwas improve usability & Stability & Performance
4. support god selling Serato & Recordbox Controller
