Downloaded songs from spotify

Is there any benefit to downloading songs from spotify when running Djay Pro? Anything improve or anything gained by doing this since you need a wifi signal anyways ?

Yes. When you’re offline, those stored can be pulled up. Only downside is you need to be offline to do it.

do you mean when you download song on Spotify app you have them available on Djay ???

Yes,. What is the benefit to the DJpro software if any to have it on the local hard drive.

It is technically not possible to use Spotify in djay without an active internet connection. The reason is that due to “sandboxing”, a security feature, apps have absolutely no access to each other’s workspace. This means that djay has no access to the songs you download in the Spotify app. These songs are only available for the Spotify app itself. djay currently has no way to support Spotify playlists offline. In order to use the streaming integration, an ongoing connection to the internet is necessary.
