I updated to IOS 7 yesterday and it resulted in me losing all of my bpm and cue points data from my tracks in my library. i have in excess of 12,000 tracks. I am not happy

Upgrading to iOS 7 also deletes the app. This is why djay's data is lost after updating. However, your user-generated data (e.g. cue points) should still be available if you enabled iCloud sync.

I am still seeing the cue points on my MBP. I am unable to get to sync the cue points to my iPad. I am sure i have icloud sync enabled but please advise how to do this.

opened djay for mac, placed a track on turntable set cue point, then replace track with another track and check other IOS device for cue point

Did you also perform the steps on enabling iCloud sync on both Mac AND iPad?

To enable iCloud syncing do the following:

Enable iCloud with the same Apple ID on all your devices (iPad/iPhone/Mac).
Enable “Documents & Data” in the iCloud settings on all your devices.
Make sure you are using the same iTunes library on all your devices (partial libraries work too, e.g. syncing individual playlists to your iPhone/iPad).

I've experienced this also. Unless this can be fixed, I'm done with djay. With over 1000 songs, I am NOT gonna go through and reanalyze every song. This affects the original djay, which I still use every once in a while as djay 2 doesn't support everything I need and has added some nuances I don't like (set grid is based on analysis which isn't always right so it may not always be on the beat which causes problems with BPM syncing, the lack of manual entry of BPM, and the missing "Resume loop" button that was present in djay 1)

I've investigated it and the reason is that iOS 7 gives a different permanent ID to the song. I don't know why, but this should be fixed.

If you can, please apply the fix to the original version also.

I'm having the same problem. This is the third time syncing my music. With over 7000 songs, it takes me at least 30 hrs to reanalyze them. I tried the iCloud fix but that doesn't work. Now I have to find all those cue points again..... Very aggravating

This is frustrating and unacceptable. I have invested over a year of hard work in arranging and setting of cue points and bpm analysis only to see it all go down the drain. If Djay wants to be a viable alternative it has to fix these nuances. No serious DJ will touch it if it has these issues. It will take a few months to get my 13,000+ songs in order again....i am actively searching for a another solution

I haven't upgraded to iOS7 yet, but checking in my settings under iCloud backup and Documents & Data, only DJay 1 appears there. It appears DJay 2 is not syncing its cue points in this manner

As far as I know, it's expected that there is only one data for all djay apps, otherwise you would have redundant data. But I'll check back with our developers to make sure.

I understand the frustration of losing your cue points. Please rest assured that we'll get to the bottom of this and see if there are any issues related to iOS 7 and iCloud syncing.

However, just to clarify, the data from the beat analysis e.g. BPMs do NOT get backed up or synced to iCloud. This has never been the case and we also left this out on purpose. Only user-generated data gets synced.

djay 2 now has a batch-analysis feature that can also analyze your songs in the background, so there is no need to load every song manually as in the previous version.

The only problem is when the BPM analysis is wrong. Even if you batch analyze, you still need to open each one to see if the BPM was correct. Please see my reply to this thread above for the reason why iOS 7 is doing this.

Believe me or not, after migrating to IOS7 and last version of DJAY2, the iPhone 5 has kept the cue points but are lost in the iPad. I am using the same iTunes playlist...

I have the same problem, all cue points lost after update ios 7 (djay2). In my settings under iCloud backup and Documents & Data, only DJay 1 appears there (in my iMac). I have tried to reinstall djay2 a couple of times, but the app will still not appear in my settings. I have done the same thing with the Djay 1 app, and the app appears immediately. As such, the cue points saved in my Djay1 app is saved in iCloud but not the ones in Djay2, which is quite a few....:-(

djay relies on the iTunes Persistent IDs of the songs to find the corresponding data. Unfortunately, the logic behind iTunes Persistent IDs seems to have been changed on iOS 7, with the result that the same song can have different IDs on different devices or even after re-syncing to the same device.

Our developers are already working on a solution. Please rest assured that we'll do our best to fix this as quickly as possible.
