Hi guys,

@Miles
Please note that the DDJ SB-2 is natively supported by djay Pro for Mac, are you facing any problems setting your controller up?

@Michael Pendergast @nils192837

Please note that we can only support iOS supported controllers at the moment.
Thank you in advance.

Cheers,
Lukas E.

Hello, I just returned a DDJ -Sr cause it's not working with iPad DJAY PRO. It tried using a we-cai cable which works with We-Go 1, how ever that did not help or work. It says that it draws too much power. Being that DDJ SB2 is suppose to work with an iPad , will it work with DJAY pro iPad?

djay officially supports the DDJ-SB2 now. Just plug and play. Not sure how Miles download is different. Who knows? Algorriddim probably piggy backed off his work.

At any rate, no downloading is necessary.

Hi Duarte,

Shawn Waldrop meant that you mix with the SB2 by simply connecting it to your Mac and djay Pro.
Are you facing any difficulties or do you have further questions?

If you want your Laptop Jack to be mapped as the main output while using the DDJ-SB2, change your sound device settings to "Main Output : Built In" as seen in the attached screenshot:

Hi guys,

the Pioneer DDJ-SB and DDJ-SB2 are both natively supported by djay Pro. All you got to do is connecting the controller via USB to your Mac.

You can download the DJay Pro Demo 1.3.1 and unzip the downloaded file. Then find the Pioneer DDJ-SB2.djayMidiMapping file. Copy that file via iTunes onto the iPads documents lib for DJay Pro. Then Djay Pro for iPad recocnizes the controller and voilá :-) Works for me :-) Have to use a Powered USB hub though to power the controller, and the camera adapter to connect the hub to the iPad, but it works flawlessly :-) Remember to rename the "Pioneer DDJ-SB2.djayMidiMapping" file to "DDJ-SB2.djayMidiMapping" (just remove the "Pioneer" word) before you put it onto the iPad's document lib for Djay Pro :-)

I'm confused. Djay Pro works with almost zero setup. Its a native application for the SB-2 since last Christmas.

If you are having trouble, its your Mac or your controller. I've used it almost a year now with my SB2 and it works flawlessly. Without any hacks or workarounds.

It's not natively supported by Djay Pro for the iPad. My comments are the solution to getting the DDJ-SB2 working in Djay Pro for iPad, and NOT the Mac version :-)

I'm thinking about buying a DDJ-SB2 but was wondering if there is a button on the controller that is mapped by djay pro to set a cue point on a track?

Each deck has 4 Hot Cues and one Cue point which you can access directly from the SB2.

Hi, I'm using DJAY Pro LE with Pioneer DDJ SB2. When I connect the controller to my macbook and open DJAY Pro LE I get the following error when loading a track 'controller not connected'. Is there a reason that this is happening?

Thanks,

Danny

The reason its happening is simple: LE

There are only 9 controllers that work with the LE version. Basically, the ones that have the official certification:

RELOOP
Beatpad
Mixon 4

PIONEER
DJWeGO 1, 2 and 3

NUMARK
Mixdeck Quad
IDJLive II

Plus, there are a few features that have been disabled. $50 isn't that much for all the features you're missing out on. Plus, you'd be supporting the company that developed such awesome software.

In addition, LE will not work as a standalone application. You have to use those specific controllers.

Hope that helps!

Hi, thanks for your message. I thought that was the reason as I tried the demo djay Pro 2 and it works really well. It does seem a great app..so I will buy in full. Thanks again

you can export the mapping from your PC or Mac to your iPad.

find the SB2 mapping file on your PC. open iTunes and connect your iPad.

on iTunes go to APPS. scroll down to DJay Pro. click add file. find the mapping file and then sync the iPad.

skeet. skeet. now your iPad will work with the SB2.

this will work with most other controllers too.

Anyone tested the DDJ-SB2 with High Sierra on a Mac? On the pioneerdj site it says the following is supported; Mac OS X 10.10/10.9/10.8
