midi learn on iPad

There are a slew of controllers I wish were supported (faderfox in particular), midi learn for iPad would make that possible! Another approach if midi learn on ipad will never happen, would be to create midi mapping on OSX and transfer a config file over.

I do feel like support for more midi controllers is necessary, Numark iDJ Live doesn't even have 3 band eq!

djay for iphone/ipad is a fine app, especially now that multi-audio routing is supported, but it still needs a few features to make it a perfect fit for professional dj sets:

- MIDI learn, so we can use any class-compliant USB midi controllers through the camera connection kit. It if fine to have features devices for djay, but I already have tons of midi controllers (and I think I'm not alone ^^) so if can setup djay on my controllers as I like to, it would be a dream setup!

- "modulable" deck/effect panel, as a DJ mixing electronic music I have no interest in scratching thus the deck are more like a waste of space to me: it would be nice to be able to replace the decks by effects pad or EQs (as most DJ I need EQs, all the time!!), while still having the current effect/eq/cue window open. This is already possible on some other DJ apps (like cross DJ) and would be a welcome addition to djay.

Thanks for supporting djay!

DJ Player app has that feature, just tested it and it works great. This should definetly be a standard feature of an dj app.

thanks Tank Jones for the explanation and work around. i'm now using Pioneer DDJ-SX with Djay Pro v 1.0.3 on iPad Pro. works like a treat.

Algoriddim really should add native midi mapping for the Djay Pro for iOS if they want their app to be taken seriously as a professional app.

see screen shot below :)

There is a new 2016 iPad lightning camera adapter that will charge the iPad at the same time.

Hi, I managed to control my MIDI Pioneer DDJ-SZ on my iPad, the deck work perfectly as in MAC, but can not get the sound through any channel pioneer simply not recognized as external sound card. there a way to install the drivers for the card, or to recognize it in any way?
