OSStatus Error -54 in djay Pro 2 when adding iTunes songs to Queue or djayPro 2 "My Library"

Aloha,

I just upgraded to djay Pro 2 and overall I’m loving every part of the upgrade. I have noticed two bugs so far, one being an apparent memory leak while testing out the Automix view, but I haven’t been able to recreate that and cannot provide specifics yet.

The second bug, however, is the OSStatus Error -54 bug (image below)

When I select the iTunes browser in djay Pro 2, the files show up and play correctly, and I can successfully use the “Show in Finder” command.

However, when I drag the same files to the Queue or into a native playlist in the “My Library” playlist browser, they are greyed out and give that error. I even tried dragging the file from the Mac Finder window right into djay’s “My Library” and still got that error.

I will also send an email to support with one of the files in question.

Thanks so much and keep up the good work,
-Trevor

I get this error when trying to record

The operation couldn’t be completed. (OSStatus error 2003334207.)

Hi there,

we are sorry to hear that.
Can you tell send us an exemplary video of your attempt to record @Edison Smith?

If you have any questions or suggestions, or if you would like further information, please don’t hesitate to contact us.

I have a MacBook Pro (Retina, 15-inch, Late 2013). 2 GHz Intel Core i7, 8 GB 1600 MHz DDR3, Sierra 10.12. Graphics Intel Iris Pro 1536 MB.

Due to space limitations of the Macbook, I store my iTunes library on an external HD. When trying to load 99% of songs from this hard drive, I get the error message “The operation couldn’t be completed. (OSStatus error -54.)”. No other software that I use (Rekordbox, Traktor, Mixxx) has any problem with the HD. This renders this application (Djay Pro 2) absolutely useless. To make it worse, I also bought the FX pack too. This is shameful that you have released this app without proper testing !!! I have many friends who are top DJ’s in the UK and I shall discourage them from using this software.

Same problem! Some iTunes songs play, some don’t!
