Playing video files from an external source?

I want to use Vjay to VJ a night at our club. I have a ton of music videos but my library size wise it ranges into the 80 gig range and this will only increase.

Until Apple comes out with an 128GB ipad I will need to be able to play from an external HD. Is this possible? I looked thru the forums and didn’t see this, i’m sorry if im beating a dead horse.

Thanks!

Hi Dallas,

vjay can only access the device’s local media library. Though, you can use “Open in…” to load files from other apps. At the moment, you can only load audio files per “Open in…” though.
Our developers are already aware of this and will be looking into enabling video files as well.

Supported formats:
H.264 and MPEG-4 video up to 1080p, 30 frames per second in .mp4, .m4v and .mov file formats

Also, a hugh majority of my vids are in the mpeg format, will this be ok?
