Pre Listening doesn't work

Hello,
I have the problem pre-listening a track is not working.
I’m using a M-Audio Xponent Midi Controller. When listening to a track the headphones give out the same signal of the current track playing on speakers. I tried every preference but its still not working listening to the other song which is not on the speakers at all.

Mixer Mode is internal. Audio Output is on xponent Channel 1+2, headphones on xponent Chanel 3+4

Hope anybody can help me!

I am very so tell you but the M-Audio Xponent stopped supporting later macOS versions.

Hi, you Might be able to use the headphone out on your Mac as the Pre-Cue out. I have done this a few times due to jack size issues. Its not as loud generally but it worked for me…
