Using Behringer XENYX302USB external sound card/mixer works fine as main output. Simply select USB Audio CODEC as main output. Select Built-in as pre-cueing.
However try to do the reverse and you cannot get it to work. Select Builtin as main output and USB Audio CODEC as Pre-Cueing results in no audio playing out the external USB device.
The claim is “You can use any audio device that is recognized by the system, i.e. shows up in the Audio System Preferences.” The USB audio CODEC seems fine for main out but not pre-cueing. MACBOOK PRO and DJAY PRO. No problem selecting it just no pre-cue sound.
For reasons I cannot explain Djay has no issues now using my USB sound for main or Pre-cueing. Not sure if it is plugged in a different USB port or what. If I see this issue again I will try to capture my environment a little closer and even see what fixes it.

have you tried setting both Output and Pre Cueing to the XENYX302USB?
Could you send us your PreCueing settings which you can open by clicking on the little phones icon in the top left of djay Pro.
