Which controller works best with DJay Pro for Mac? So many to choose from..

Which controller works best with DJay Pro for Mac? Looking in the $100 to $200 dollar price range.

We are very excited to download and purchase DJay Pro for Mac. It is Awesome that so many controllers are supported, but which is best? We do like pads for samples, nobs for modulation and solid construction.

Thank you all in advance.

I’ve been using the mixdeck quad and is been awesome! I’m ready to use Djay Pro with vinyl decks now. Is this an option yet?

I there!

I am also looking for a new and “Pro-level” 4 channel controller to work natively with Djay PRO - either on mac or iPad.

It is been really dificult to find the right long-term choice!! (Reloop Beat Pad 2? Pioneer SX2 or SZ? Reloop Terminal Mix 8? Denon?) Which one suits best the DJ PRO software (on 4 channels)?

I have the Vestax Spin2 but now it started to give me some problems (e.g. knobs and bottons with no liabilty) - last night performing at a local disco (in a Dj booth) connected throwght RCA into a Pionner 850 mixer I’ve faced some “stability” issues.

Performed for 6 hrs. in a row but 2 or 3 times the controller was almost dying!!!

Not happy at all.

Best,
Miguel

This is really a matter of taste. You should definitely check several controllers to see which one fits best for your purposes. If you have any questions on certain devices, feel free to ask!

Please note that neither the Numark Mixtrack Quad, nor the Reloop Terminal Mix 4 are natively supported, yet. You’d have to map these devices yourself.
FYI: The Numark Mixdeck Quad, the Numark Mixtrack / Mixtrack Pro / Mixtrack II / Mixtrack Pro II ARE natively supported…

I’m sorry. Yes, you’re right the Numark Terminal Mix 4 is already natively supported. The Numark Terminal Mix 8 isn’t, yet …

I really like the beatpad. It’s definitely a device to check.

ok, I guess I will ask another way. Which has someone used with DJay Pro for Mac they like and worked well for them?

We have been researching them like crazy. I started another thread which I am sure you have not been able to get to yet… We just want to make sure it is indeed fully supported and mapped out.

Thank you very much. I am going to check it out now.

I bought the Vestax VCI-400… It does not work… I tried to find the firmware updates to get it to work and Vestax WENT OUT OF BUSINESS!! There is NO website, There is NO support.

You should take Vestax off your list if there is no company to support it…

Now I have to return this one through Amazon…

I vote for the ReLoop Terminal Mix 4. A little hard to find though. Its Djay Pro, Virtual DJ, Serato DJ & Traktor compatible. In my opinion, it is the all around best controller to enter digital DJing with. From it, you can graduate to any larger pro DJ controller, utilizing any worthy DJ software on the market. Go get it!

Adrian, are you sure? This is the list of natively supported controllers pasted from your website here: https://www.algoriddim.com/hardware. Scroll to the bottom and it clearly shows the Reloop Terminal Mix 4 listed.

Thank you for posting this thread. It was very helpful and I thought you might like to see the following data I compiled. I am looking for a decent controller for my laptop version of Djay. Normally I spend my time making music.

Thanks.

p.s just double click the photo below to see more clearly.

Are any higher end controllers supported natively or are there plans to?
Has anyone tried the firmware on any of the higher end Pioneer or A&H controllers?

Good to know, as thats one of the supposedly better controllers on this list.

Does this controller works with DJAY Pro

I know this is an old thread…but IS the RELOOP Beatmix 4 Natively supported on Djay 2 or Djay Pro for MOS or IOS (macbook or ipad) yet? I want a decent 2-300.00 Controller that is Natively Supported by ALL Operating Systems and Software.
