all song color tags show in main browser but when viewing in any of the sidebar Tabs ( Library, Queue, Match…) are missing color tags.
Not using any streaming service, all songs are local.

Hi again @Donn, if you R-Click on the song in the Side-Panel you can view the Color Tags.
Alternatively, you can select the Info icon
Also, in the djay Settings>Appearance>Library you can enable Highlight entire row when color tag is set for track. I hope that helps!
Hi Slak_Jaw, here’s screenshot. Before we could see the color dot to the left of the song in both the main and sidebar view. Now the color dot is replaced w the music icon.
I do have the Highlight entire row when color tag is set for tracks checked. The color for the row was always hard to see , so i relied on the color dot.
The color tag is also missing and replaced w the music icon when viewing search results.

I don’t remember but I’m guessing the issue either started one update before 5.6 or
at 5.6 , 5.6.1
Just a reminder , the color tag is not visible in all tabs in the sidebar and search results.

I just noticed in the iphone djay app the color tags are also replace w the music icon like the Mac version.
I have Icloud sync turned OFF on both djay pro apps.

Okay, thanks for letting me know @Donn. So, you’re saying that the color tags were previously visible on a older version of djay for iOS, but not since the latest update?
Actually I’m not 100% sure but I noticed something looked different from before, thats when I notice the missing color tags and since it happened around the same time as the mac version there might be a connection?

Hi again @Donn, engineering confirmed that no changes were made here. If you want to see the color dot in the sidebar you have to turn off the “Highlight entire row when color tag is set track” as we don’t do both for these cases.
Hi Slak_Jaw, sorry for the confusion! I think what happened was the new update added the music icon to the left of the song title which was never there before. Thinking back I don’t think the color tag was in the sidebar as you mentioned but what I thought was the missing color tags was actually the addition of the music icon(the folded paper w the music note) notice in the screenshot,
before update didn’t have the music icon.
The added music icon takes up space, is there a way to hide it?
(btw the reason i have the sidebar cramped to the side is when i use 4 columns at the same time, main playlist, automix, search, and sidebar, that’s why if i could hide the music note i could view more song details)
TIP: instead of jumping back and forth from Match to other tabs in the Sidebar, use the Automix’s Match Songs column for matches while keeping any of your sidebar tabs intact.
Even better (i’ve always wanted this feature and was going to make a feature request but we have it already) is a way to freeze you Match. For example when you have a great match list from an active deck which contain great songs that can be a set in itself but when you switch decks that list is replace. Using the Match Songs in the Automix actually keeps the list despite changing active decks and when you want to update the match simply select it from the Automix menu again(wish there was a key command for that)

Is there a chance the engineers can change it back to the way it was before the update? Why was the music icon added?
