YOUR QUESTION / SUGGESTION / FEEDBACK:

I just upgraded to the V5 from the DDJ-RX controller and will use it with DVS. My purchase was influenced a little by the fact the V5 is on the DJay Pro support list. My expectation with this is that the mapping should be automatically taken care of. My issue is that audio from any of the 3 channels is routing through the channel 1 fader. For example my turntables plugged into the rear on channel 2 and 3 can only be heard out the master when you turn up the channel 1 fader. DJay settings under device has mixer mode set to “internal” and the assignments look correct, “main output = CH1-2”, “pre-cueing = CH3-4”…. Is the integration only for mixer mode in “External” mode? Mixer in External mode and manually assigned channels works fine.
I assumed a mixer with inbuilt USB sound card in internal mode would operate similar to a controller but it doesn’t update fader or EQ status when physically moving those knobs. Having said that, they don’t move in Rekordbox either so I accept that’s how it is. The Rekordbox audio routing is spot on, no issues.

It’ll likely be external mixer mode for that.

Hi @Tekniques, welcome to the Community! Please note that the V5 is an External Mixer Mode ONLY device. Please navigate to the djay Settings>Devices and select Reset to Defaults to properly configure the audio routing settings.

Unless the External Mixer also sends MIDI for the controls, it’s normal that the onscreen controls in djay do not move with the physical controls of the hardware.
