I just got my new XDJ AZ, but I’m wondering if it is not possible to search text via the AZ Screen in Djay Pro (on Mac OS). Currently I can scroll through my playlists, but not search for any song title. Maybe my setup is wrong? I think on the old CDJ 2000 NXS, it was possible via HID Mode and DJay Pro.

Hi again @Christian_N, I heard back from our hardware team. Unfortunately, search was never possible on any CDJ, nor is it possible on the XDJ-AZ. This also doesn’t work with Rekordbox. The search function on the CDJ or XDJ does not work with an external software source.
What is possible: type your search into the search field within the djay UI (this updates the browse view on CDJ/XDJ to the current search results), then browse the search results using the browse encoder.
Thank you for the quick response @Slak_Jaw. Then I was wrong in my mind with the CDJs. I though place my Mac somewhere away from the DJ booth, while I’m using DJAY Pro and XDJ AZ.
