Any chance for a new version of djay for mac?

My setup is Macbook White 2.16 ghz Intel core Duo with 4GB ram - Mountain Lion with only Djay app 4.2.1 installed - Numark DJ2GO Midi Controller.

The Djay App freezes six songs in four hours!

Please let me now how to fix this problem.

I love this software but i can’t use it for my performance.

I have also noticed this at several shows over the last month or so. It’s strange because it will start have visual glitches on the the spinning active turntable while I am typing in search info to find the next song. This visual glitch often leads to actual stuttering/freezing on the audio as well but not always. I also had zero problems on a Friday night event then the problem occurred twice on my Saturday night event…just lucky that I still have CDs and decks in my DJ setup.

Hey Warren, sorry for the delay in response…I’ve been crazy busy with DJ work as well as family and holiday madness. Here is basic hardware info:
Processor 2.3 GHz Intel Core i7
Memory 8 GB 1600 MHz DDR3
Graphics Intel HD Graphics 4000 384 MB
Software OS X 10.8.5 (12F45)

Please let me know if you have any other questions that may help you. As mentioned in Giorgio’s posts…the songs are different each time so I can’t narrow it down to specific audio files. In regards to song location: All of my music is contained on the 1TB internal Macbook HD.

Hi Giorgio,

Does it always freeze on the same songs? Were the songs “new”, meaning not previously played with djay? Are they stored on an external hard drive?

The skipping usually means that the audio data can’t be delivered/processed fast enough. Do you have any other software running in the background?

Please try verifying your disk.

  1. Open the “Disk Utility” app
  2. select “Macintosh HD” from the left tab
  3. run “Verify Disk”

As an experiment, please try of the skipping also occurs when you’re just using the built-in output.

Hello Warren and thanks for your reply. The songs that freeze are always different. I test these songs in another session of Djay and they worked fine! So the problem is not the songs. My storage is internal Macbook Hard Disk. Please try to fix this Huge problem, because i used DJay every mouth. Thanks you very much and sorry for my english.

Hello Mr. Warren , i have installed only Djay App and that’s all.

So i used also the internal audio interface to send the audio in the mixer and the usb Fiio D5 for pre cueing headphone.

I can try but without pre-cueing becomes impossible to work
