Apple Music streaming only loads 1 deck, restart fixes it

A) SUMMARY OF ISSUE:

  • 1 deck stops loading using Apple Music same song loads fine on the other deck.

B) DETAILED STEPS TO REPRODUCE:

  1. Hit or miss

C) EXPECTED RESULTS:

  • Song loading one whatever deck

D) ACTUAL RESULTS:

  • Out of the blue not loading, sometimes for hours okay, sometimes after 15 min. Sometimes not able to reproduce.

Hi @Dutchie, thanks for the detailed info and video. There are some known issues with Apple Music streaming at the moment. I suspect your issue is related.

  1. Do you experience the same issue with other streaming services like djay Music?
  2. Does the issue persist if you disconnect your DJ controller?

I will check and let you know.

After the restart of djay the issue did not reoccur today so it’s pretty random.

I think when the issue occurs I can’t load even local files but will double check again.

@Slak_Jaw didn’t have time yet to try to reproduce the issue. But tonight I will just let Djay automix the whole evening to see what happens. (As this was the situation where the issue occurred)

I decided to open this topic initially because the issue occurred multiple times, wouldn’t have done so if this was just a one time issue.

If the issue occurs again, is there some kind of log I can do at that time?

@Slak_Jaw it happened again.

The issue starts with the deck not being able to load the song completely and than is stuck playing. Also bad that automix completely stalls now and not fading to the other deck as an emergency “solution”

Not even able to load local files to the deck that is stuck in loading mode, so perhaps the issue starts with Apple Music but also not able to load other sources.

Same song loads fine in the other deck.

Controller was not attached this time.

Uploading this big video does not work so new attempt after Slak jaw’s reply.

Thanks for the video @Dutchie. When this issue occurs in djay, do you experience similar issues with Apple Music Streaming while using the Music App outside of djay?

Hi @Slak_Jaw will check, but why can I not load local files anymore at the time when the issue occurs.

@Slak_Jaw the issue occurred again today. I immediately tried to load the same song in another deck and it loads fine . Also on my other devices the same song can be played without any problems on Apple Music itself.

Next I will test if just playing local files only also causes the issue to begin.

@Slak_Jaw can’t reproduce the issue anymore since a update inbetween.

I’m afraid i’ll have to open another topic because of during song loading a crackling stuttering sound now occurs
