on my home setup of 2 x xdl1000mk2s djay pro connected perfectly - but at the club just can’t seem to get the 2 x cdj3000s both putting out sound using asio driver. Midi works no problem (except the key display shows wrong format)
One will work using the standard driver for sound - but soon as i add the 2nd one the channels don’t output audio under the Asio driver.
I know it’s not the asio driver as the 2 xdj1000s work perfectly.
I am using a usb hub which maybe the 3000’s don’t like but its weird the 1000’s work but they don’t?
Ill try getting another suitable cable so i can get rid of the hub and report back but if anyone else encountered this please let me know.
Ok so after some hair pulling out I tried another windows laptop and it works no problem - both have Windows 11, but the one with problems is the latest version 25H2 whilst the laptop with 23H2 is working. Wether or not its a windows issue or a hardware issue I have no idea - but this has at least cleared the air it’s got nothing to do with Djay pro!
Windows 11 25H2 is causing significant ASIO driver instability and audio issues for music production interfaces, often resulting in no sound or device detection failures. Users report issues with Realtek and specific audio interfaces, with some suggesting a major, long-lasting regression.
Windows just released an update 2 days ago (KB5074105) which seems to have fixed most of the issues - at least the pioneer mixers are working now (I tested DJM450) where as before they were not.
The XDJ’s are working in midi mode no problems but for some reason when using the ASIO for 2 decks the channels are swapped which is whack. You can however swap the channel output within Djay so deck one is channel 3/4 and deck two is 1/2. Backwards indeed but it works.
