Audio Routing Display Inconsistency (NI Audio 10)

There is a UI display bug when configuring audio output channels.

Environment:

  • Software: djay Pro v5.6.1 for Windows

  • OS: Windows 11

  • Hardware: Native Instruments Audio 10 (ASIO)

I believe there was previously a bug where the display would change when setting the audio device.

Recently, I changed my setup to output from the NI Audio 10 so that I can use multiple controllers in the same environment. Since then, the display shows unintended channels every time.

Example: I have the monitor output set to ‘1-2ch’, but ‘3-4ch’ is displayed. However, internally it seems to be set correctly, and the audio is routed properly. It appears to be strictly a display issue.

Additional note: It would be very helpful if there were an option to save the audio settings.

Thanks for the details and video @megamema. Very helpful! I don’t have an Audio10 to test myself. so I’ve passed this onto our hardware team to see if they can reproduce it. Thanks!
