Audio settings resetting everytime I hook up my hardware

I use a Hercules Inpulse 500 as a Midi controller only and a Traktor Audio 10 as Audio interface for DVS input and audio output. Recently (since 5.3?), everytime I hook my Macbook Pro M3 up to the gear and start Djay, the audio settings are reset to Hercules Inpulse 500 in and out. Which means that I have to set it back to Traktor Audio 10 for Audio input, output and reconfigure DVS every time. Not a super big deal, but somewhat annoying. Does anyone else have a similar problem or an idea for a workaround?
