Auto Loop MIDI Mapping for DJM-S11 iOS/macOS

I hope this message finds you well.

I am a professional DJ and a dedicated user of djay Pro on both macOS and iOS.

I would like to bring to your attention an issue regarding the built-in MIDI mapping for the Pioneer DJM-S11 mixer.

Currently, the built-in MIDI mapping for the DJM-S11 differs between the macOS and iOS versions of djay Pro, particularly with the Auto Loop function.

This inconsistency makes it very inconvenient to use, especially during live performances where seamless workflow is essential.

While custom MIDI mapping is available, many venues and events require the use of the standard built-in mappings for consistency across different setups.

Adjusting or remapping MIDI settings manually during a performance is extremely challenging and disruptive.

Therefore, I kindly request that you consider unifying the built-in MIDI mappings for the DJM-S11 across both macOS and iOS platforms.

This would greatly enhance usability, reliability, and the overall user experience for performers who rely on djay Pro in professional environments.

Hi @Rang_Rang, welcome to the Community! Thanks for the feedback. I will share this with the dev team. To ensure that we get this right, can you please be more specific?

Thanks!

On macOS, the Auto Loop button is only mapped to Shift + Auto Loop, and not directly assigned.

Could you please check the current mapping data?

Hi @Rang_Rang, engineering has confirmed that there’s a difference between the iOS and macOS MIDI mapping - they will address this in an upcoming release. In the meantime, you can fix this by opening the DJM-S11 settings utility on the Mac, going to the preference tab and unchecking “Always activate the loop set by the specified number of beats.”
