Automatic bulk-reset BPM and grid

As Djay Pro’s “fluid grids” is quiet superior to other DJ programs, I tend to reset both BPM and grid for any track I load, that was prior analysed by a more “strict grid” application (like Traktor or Rekordbox).

It would be very handy to have an option to bulk-reset all BPM and grid settings from a playlist or the entire collection, so I don’t need to do this manually by hand track by track. And of course it would even be better to also automatically set the first (down)beat CUE point at 1.1 downbeat.

Thanks for the suggestion @olafmol. Don’t forget to vote.

Um, surely you can just select all the tracks in the playlist and right click and choose analyse?

Or am I misunderstanding something about your suggestion?

I tried that, but analyse does not seems to “reset” the BPM and grid settings it seems. Maybe I am missing a setting somewhere? I guess that analyse does it when there are no prior BPM and grid data with the file, but all my files have been prior analysed by either Traktor or Rekordbox…

There are three ways to analyze tracks:

  1. Loading them on a deck.
  2. Selecting “Analyze” on a playlist.
  3. Selecting one or multiple tracks and then “Analyze” (using Right/Control-Click on macOS, or track selection mode on iOS)

For options 1 and 2 the track is not analyzed again if it has been previously analyzed. Option 3 will re-analyze the track and overwrite existing information like Key and BPM. However, we keep most of the user edits made to the Beatgrid and simply reapply them to the new grid; this includes anchors, shifts, and downbeat changes.

I tried this. But the result of right-click analyse is very different from 'manually" resetting the BPM and grid.

Understood @olafmol. Your suggestion has been shared with our devs.
