YOUR SUGGESTION:
On an Automix list it would be really handy to have a column for the time (I mean real, local time 9.44pm etc) the song will ‘play at’ (or will end at). This I feel is important if one needs to create a playlist for background music or similar so that we know the music is going to last until something starts (like background music while dinner is on). Just knowing a playlist has 1 hour 20mins (for instance) is not really good enough as with auto transitions the time will be significantly reduced.
How I understood it:
He wants a setting whereby, the dj/djay could set a particular track/sampler/playlist to kick off at a set time, say, 12;00 noon on the dot. I assume he’s trying to envision virtualdj “event scheduler”
Hi and thanks for responding. It’s not necessarily an event scheduler (but that could be useful too). No, picture this: you choose 20 songs for a playlist for while guests are having dinner (say) and they want some background music.. Dinner is from 7pm till 8pm. When you load up the playlist into automix at 7pm it would be really handy to have a column that shows the actual (real) time that each song is going to play so you can check you’ve got enough songs to last the hour. You may even be at the meal yourself. Halfway through the meal your client asks you to prologue the music for another 15mins. Fortunately you already know that your playlist will play until 8.20pm. this scenario could be applicable in many other circumstances. Virtual dj has it and it’s really useful.
You’re welcome @Michael_Sumner. Thanks for clarifying. I’ll share this with our devs for consideration. In the meantime, please use the blue Vote button at the top left of this page so we can gauge user demand for this feature. Thanks!
