YOUR QUESTION:
I have a track that has an odd number of beats in a few bars. As you can see, at bar number 121 the beat is perfectly lined up with the bar marker, but at bar 129 an extra half beat has been added by the producer (thanks Signum), then at bar number 145 another half beat has been added and when the track kicks in after the break down the first beat is 1 beat out from the bar number marker.
Is there any way to re-align the bar marker numbers to the first down beat after the breakdown ?
What is the track artist and title? Is it a special version, like ‘Radio dance edit‘? Do you know the source like Spotify or converted yourself from cd?
It looks like the beat marker is already off before the 128 marker

I checked the track, it seems to be the ‘12Inch club mix‘ with the length of 8:03. I have the cd maxi single and I converted it myself to wav.
Lately I come across some versions of songs on Apple music and Spotify that are cut out of a mixed cd or mixed file. Then the tempo changes and you in some you hear the beat of the next mixed track at the end. I was wondering if this is here as well. But my own version has the same issues
The beat analyser looks to be confused at the the trancy instrumental part. It decided that the bpm changes, while in fact it is not. That is why setting the bpm to straight, gets the alignment after the instrumental part correct in the example of @Slak_Jaw . Tested the same track in Recordbox. That even gets more confused in the instrumental part, but is correct again after the instrumental. I have VDJ not installed anymore, will try that later tonight.
