A) SUMMARY OF ISSUE:

  • During a set i have had a few times where a track will simply stop playing. I can finger scroll back in the track and it will play but it will get to a point where it stops, like the track has only partly loaded.
At the same time a beatport connection error occurs (error 500)
The tracks i’m playing are all in the Offline Locker so i expect them to play regardless of an internet connection or not.
(side issue: Beatport offline tracks dont show artwork unless internet connected)

B) DETAILED STEPS TO REPRODUCE:

  1. No Idea, it seems to be sporadic. I have experienced it most when i’m

C) EXPECTED RESULTS:

  • no issues, tracks play through as they are supposed to, especially when in offline locker.

D) ACTUAL RESULTS:

  • track stops mid track.

Hi @TomThePirate, it sounds like you might be in preview mode and not logged into a Beatport Streaming account with valid subscription.

Hi.

I absolutely was logged into my Beatport account. It has an active subscription, professional tier.
I was playing a song from the offline library at the time.

Thanks for clarifying, @TomThePirate. Okay, my first guess was off the mark, so let’s dig a little deeper.

First thing I want to rule out: was the track loaded from the Locker folder itself, or from a Beatport playlist or search result? It can be the same track either way, but if djay is pulling it from the catalogue side it’ll stream rather than read your offline copy — which would explain the mid-track stop and the 500 error landing at the same moment.

Quickest way to test: put the iPad in Airplane Mode, load a track directly from the Locker, and play it all the way through. Plays clean means your offline copies are fine and the issue is which source djay is loading from. Stops the same way means the offline download itself is incomplete.

Could you also grab the exact djay build from Settings > About and your iPadOS version? “Latest” moves around, and if this turns out to be a bug we’ll want the precise numbers. Thanks!

Hello! It’s been a week since my last reply. I’m going to consider this topic completed for now so I can focus on others. However, please feel free to respond and we can definitely revisit this. Thanks!
