YOUR QUESTION:
- when using the iPhone App: Can I use FLX-4 as audio playback device? And if yes, then how? It detects only my phone, which is not good because I cannot use the headphone jack.
Hi @marsbee, welcome to the Community! You can definitely use the FLX4 to output audio when using djay on iOS.
- Can you please clarify what you want to achieve here?
- Are you connecting your iPhone to the FLX4 wirelessly via Bluetooth or via cable?
- Perhaps a short video or some photos of how you have everything connected would be a helpful starting point? Thanks!
Hi, I know I can connect the FLX4 via cable or bluetooth and use it as a controlling device (like for adjusting volume of the decks or turning filter knobs), but I cannot use it as an audio output device yet on the iphone. The iphone will always use my iphone as an audio output device, no matter what I do. The problem is on the iPhone I cannot use a headphone.
Do you know how I can use the FLX 4 as an audio output, like when using it together with a computer?
Hi @marsbee, thanks for the additional info. Sending audio via Bluetooth to the FLX4 is not supported. You must use a wired connection for audio output on the FLX4.
Hi. And what do I do if I connect the iPhone via Lightning cable to the FLX-4, but still audio is being played back from the iPhone only?
Hi @marsbee, since you have a Lightning port iPhone, I first recommend that you try connecting with a different Certified Genuine Apple Lightning to USB-C cable. Please make sure that the FLX4 is also connected to power with the other USB-C socket (9V, 3A or 27W).
If that doesn’t work please try using a Genuine Apple Lightning to USB 3 Camera Adapter, and a high quality USB-A to C cable.
