I have reviewed most of the comments regarding what people like and don’t like about the protected deck function. I would like to propose something. If you agree please up vote it.
- Change the protected Deck Function to a Warning.
- Make this warning come up in a non modal dialog such that it does not disrupt flow or hold your work hostage.
- Have a count down timer that shortly dismisses this dialog if the user does nothing.
- Allow me to select override during the countdown period. This acknowledges the warning but then drops the asset there as though I did not have the feature selected in preferences.
In this way you have protected me from doing something inadvertent but at the same time given me the ability to do intentional asset change on an active deck.
