Crossfader unexpectedly enabled after using Automix in djay

Hi,
I’ve encountered an issue with Algoriddim djay related to the crossfader.

Normally, I keep the crossfader disabled because I don’t use it in my sets. However, after using the Automix function and then returning to manual mixing, I’ve noticed that the crossfader becomes active again, even though I didn’t change any settings in soft- or hardware.

Note:
I always have the (A–Thru–B) selector switches under each channel set to “Thru,” but apparently, using Automix changes their state without any visual indication. This behavior re-enables the crossfader (and doesn’t disable afterwards), which can lead to unexpected mixing results.

Luckily, I just found a workaround: toggling the selector switches to “A” or “B” and then back to “Thru” disables the crossfader again. However, this issue could easily disrupt a live performance and leave DJs unsure of what went wrong.

Please look into this, as preventing Automix from altering the crossfader state would help ensure a more stable and predictable experience for DJs.

Thanks in advance!

Thanks for sharing @DJ_Big_Blender. I believe this is somewhat expected behavior as the crossfader is required for using Automix. However, I can see your point and I will pass this onto the dev team for further review.

Yes, thanks!

What I’d really like to see is djay reverting the crossfader behavior back to its previous state after Automix is stopped. Ideally, it should re-check the channel slider selector positions (A–Thru–B) and re-disable the crossfader if they’re all set to “Thru.”
