I recentlty opted to use itunes/local music instead of the files app and replaced all the files within “my collection”
Djay attempts to recognise the source icons upon start up but then returns all icons to files once fully open.
I have shared a video, the event is quite quick.
I don’t know if it’s expected behaviour but if I then transfer a playlist to my ipad using one library the files show up as files on my ipad instead of local and each track has to be replaced individually.
I have seen the video…you’re in my collections. when you drag n drop tracks from local music (music) onto my collections, that icon change happens erratically. all my tracks are in an SSD so all icons are like yours
Hi @daniel_curley, here’s the response from our engineer:
“Currently when you import iTunes tracks into My Collection they are just treated directly as files and are not linked to iTunes, so that’s why the source icon for the track is the “file” icon. We can look into changing this behaviour if people would find it useful, but ultimately it’s still just a link to a track file not to the track in iTunes.”
It would be nice for one library to acknowledge the source as iTunes though as tracks transfer to my iPad showing up as files which creates a big mess as I am also using iTunes on ios
