Djay Hot Cue colours changing to all green in RB

YOUR QUESTION:

  1. I am using Djay Pro ver 5.6.1 as my main dj software.

    I create all my playlists and set all the hot cues in Djay Pro.

    I am setting the hot cues’ colours using red, green, blue, orange and yellow. I set the colours accordingly to show intro , breaks, drops, vocal etc.

    I have a problem when I import the playlist with the coloured hot cues into record box (ver 7.2.16 ).

    The hot cues all change to green in Rekord box. So they also appear all in green when I export them to a USB key, to use on Pionneer CDJs (1000s, 2000s, 3000s).

    Can someone advise me how to fix this so that rekord box imports the hot cue colour info? Thanks, Best regards. Max

Hi.

Also. Here is a written workflow

1.I get a new track(s)

2.I import the track(s) into djay pro

3.In djay pro I then add the hot cues using either my pioneer DJ FLX 10 or I manually put them in. If I use the FLX 10 to set the cues, afterwards change the colors to the colors I prefer, and I do that manually in the djay pro software on the laptop

4.I then put that track(s) onto a playlist

5.I then export that playlist to a USB key

6.Now I open up rekordbox, and I import the playlist from the USB key into rekordbox

7.Now, when I look at the imported track in rekordbox all of the Hot Cue colors have changed to green

8.In order to allow the USB key to be recognizable by all of the pioneer CJ‘s, I then need to export it back onto the key and overwrite the version I made in djay pro this now comes back onto the key ready to play on all the DJ Pioneer gear, but the Hot cues are all green.

9.also, if I open this key with djay pro the Hot cues are also green load the track directly from the USB key. in

so is there a way to keep the colors when I import them into rekordbox?

One Libray cue color bugs were observed in both v5.6.1 and 5.6.2. Best to update to latest version of djay first, then you check again.

Any particular reason for maintaining v5.6.1??

Any particular reason for maintaining v5.6.1?? Yes, I foolishly was not aware of the update. :slight_smile:

I kind of thought it had an auto update. I know now :blush:

After updating, and trying the same process as before, with a new track. The colours have copied successfully :grinning_face:
