DJay with Turtle Beach Earforce i60 headset

I am trying to use DJay with my Turtle Beach i60 headset and every time I flip the switch to do a voiceover while broadcasting, the music gets killed instead of letting me speak over the songs. I can’t seem to find a way to make it work and can’t find any information online.

I am using DJay 4.2.2.
By Killed I mean the music is muted. It does not go out over my stream with Nicecast. Only my voice is heard until I turn the mic off.
I did select the headset under preferences as an input devise.

I play a song in iTunes fine and it still plays when the mic is on. Its only DJay where it cuts out when I flip the mic on switch on the bottom right of the DJay window. This never happened with my Creative headset. Just with this new Turtle Beach that I just got.

Yes. The same thing happens while using only DJay.

  • Which djay version are you using?
  • What do you mean by “killed”? Does the deck get stopped or does the volume just get turned down?
  • Did you select your headset as input device in “Preferences” > “Devices”?

Also, as an experiment, please try the following:

  • play a song with iTunes
  • then turn on your mic

Does this also happen when you’re not using Nicecast?
