DJControl Mix Ultra not charging

Device model : Macbook air M1
Version of operating system : MacOS Sequoia 15.4
Version of djay : 5.6
Hardware/controllers used : DJControl Mix Ultra (Hercules)
Hardware firmware version : N/A

Hello everyone,

I recently got the DJControl Mix Ultra (for Christmas). It worked well until the next day, I plugged it to my Mac, then, I wanted to charge it so I plugged it directly with an adaptor usb-a to c and since then, the controller don’t charge, the usb-c port seems to be a bit dislocated but I don’t know if its the origin of the problem.
(I cannot upload a video to show you the port since new users cannot share attachments)
I already tried to contact Hercules support but since they are close during week ends I only was able to send them emails.
For now, if someone here got any solutions I will be very glad to know them.
Have a great day !

(Sorry if you see any mistakes or weird formulations english isn’t my native language…).

Hi @ale_RT, welcome to the Community! I will change your community privileges so you can upload the video. In the meantime, I would try using a different USB cable and a different charger. Not all cables are made the same and some only work for data transfer and not for charging.

Hi, Thank you for your answer and your reactivity !
I already try different cables and chargers, I also use the midi app on the Mac in order to test the entries when plugged to the computer, it was working well and showing entries every time when moving faders or touching buttons (and I make sure that the controller wasn’t connected via bluetooth) but after I tried to charge it and I saw that the battery indicator wasn’t lighting up, I did the same thing on the MIDI tester and no entries were detected when wired but only when connected to bluetooth.

Here’s a video of the charging port :

You’re welcome @ale_RT. In that case, this sounds like it could be a hardware issue to me. I would contact the company you purchased it from or Hercules directly for a warranty replacement.

Ok I will contact them asap, thank you for your help !

You’re welcome @ale_RT. Sorry I couldn’t be of more help on this one.
