YOUR QUESTION:
I note some similar question but none exactly like this and no clear answers!
On DJ Pro on an ipad I have the ubiquitous problem of drum and bass ending up at c65bpm as opposed to 170.
Can I/How can I best adjust this so they appear at the fast end of my bpm sorted playlist rather than the slow end.
N.B. I have a workflow that will horrify some people! All my music is loaded onto my PC into iTunes…I then import the tunes I want to DJ with into Rekordbox (v6) use this to manage tunes and make playlists, then export playlists back to itunes to sync with my iPad.
It is therefore possible that I might be best off adjusting bpm in rekordbox, but it would still be handy to know how to do it in iOs dj pro.
Other workflow suggestions also welcome (n.b. this works for me as i use itunes for dj and non-Djing music and i need to use rekordbox because i also need pioneer compatible USB sticks)
Just to add….. I realise you can do it by hitting 2x on the bpm when the song is loaded, but as alluded to in the question, this is about doing it before loading the song so they appear in the appropriate place in a bpm sorted playlist (and possibly doing lots of songs at once). I note that doing it once the song is loaded doesn’t permanently change the track info either
Its a headache. Halving and doubling of bpms have become quite common lately, even on my mac. What’s even more strange is that: a track may have the proper bpm but on loading to deck, you see half the bpm displayed on tempo range
If after that process you still have some songs at the half BPM, you can sort the playlist by BPM, select the Check Mark Icon at the top right of the playlist, then manually select all the songs you want to re-analyze. Finally, select the Playlist drop-down menu again and select Analyze Songs again.
Wahey! That worked at the second stage (the mass reanalyze doesn’t appear to redo tracks that were already analyzed… I will have to wait and see what it now does with my sub90 bpm reggae tracks and if i have to do the same thing in reverse!
