External Mixer Mode Headroom

Hi @mrsoundproof, welcome to the Community! Currently the on available Output Headroom option in Settings > Sound > Audio output > Output headroom are +6dB, +3dB, None, -6dB, -9dB, -12dB and -24dB, with nothing in between. There is no hidden option.

For an external mixer setup I’d leave it at -6dB and make up the difference on your mixer’s channel trim. The Flux’s RCA outs are fixed line level, so your mixer’s gain stage is the only place to fine-tune, and that keeps you on hardware instead of djay’s on-screen mixer, which is what you’re after anyway.

If your mixer has no trim to work with, the other route is headroom set to None plus per-track gain dialled in once and remembered — turn on Settings > Sound > Volume > Save and restore manually set gain values so you’re not riding it during a set.

There is also an existing suggestion topic to add a -3dB setting if you’d like to upvote it: Add -3dB Headroom option

I hope that helps!
