Device model (MacBook Pro m1):
Version of operating system *macos Sequonia 15.4.1
*Version of djay 5.4.2
Hardware/controller. Flx 10
Summary of the issue:
The digital marker does not set to the 12 0 clock position when setting or using a cue. Its position seems to be random and different with each set cue. This is not the behavior of most controllers.
How to reproduce the issue:
Set a cue point and notice the digital marker is not at the 12 o’clock position. Or even trigger the cue.
The digital marker is the line in the screens that turns in a circle. When you trigger a cue you want it to position it self at the 12 o’clock position.
In djay pro if there is no hardware attached. The digital marker sets itself at the 12 o’clock position . It’s just normal. But in the flex 10. It’s just random……..
I’m not sure how to tell. I updated from the pioneer website.. after updating djay PRO.. The Flx 10 is a provided by the club. The next time I dj with it I’ll hook it up and confirm the firmware.
Hi @Five-0, I have some information on this from engineering. They were able to replicate this on their system. Unfortunately, the digital marker on the FLX10 is drawn by the hardware itself and is based on the current playback position of the song. We have no influence over it within djay. We have shared this issue with the manufacturer, but it will require a firmware update from them to fix it.
The digital marker is really all I use on the screens and it worked perfect before this official support. Now there is nothing that I own and use that works with my work flow using Djay.. I hope something is sorted out soon.
Hi @Five-0, we don’t have any news to share on this at the moment. As it requires a firmware update from the manufacturer, unfortunately it’s largely out of our control. In the meantime, I recommend that you also reach out to the hardware manufacturer.
Pressing the cue button to set a temporary cue sets the marker at the 12 o’clock position. Now setting a cue point will have the marker at the desired position
