I bought myself a Sinco SMC-Mixer to dedicate to effects and loops.
Everything maps perfectly DURING a Djay session however FX 1/2/3 Enable will simply not function work after Djay is restarted. The mapping is still there, but button is completely dead.
Changing the control type (during a session) will allow the button to function normally again until Djay is restarted then it goes completely dead again.
If I set the control type to “Hold“ it will work correctly on restart (but I need it to latch!).
The same controller button can be mapped to any other DJay functions without issue it appears to only affect FX Enable functionality.

- Have you tried mapping this to different buttons on your hardware?
- Are you sure that you don’t accidentally have any duplicates in your mapping?
- Do you have any other hardware connected?
The same issue presents itself on:
MacBook Air M5 / MacOS 26.5.1
iPad Air M1 / iOS 26.5.1
Djay Pro 5.6.7

Yes I have tried mapping to different buttons, and can successfully map those same hardware buttons without Issues to other functions e.g. Autoloop/Play/Cue/Instant FX etc..

FX Enable is the only function that will not work whatsoever after restarting Djay.
Thanks for the additional info @Steve_Francesco. This is very helpful. Do you have another MIDI controller that you can test with? I don’t have access to a Sinco SMC-Mixer, so I’d like to confirm if this is hardware specific or not.
Checked what midi data was being send versus my Mixtour with midi monitor and I found the problem.
The controller is duplicating the data it sends (Control Surface & User Config) when connected via USB.
In Logic or Ableton you can manually select which input to use, but thats not an option in Djay.
Everything is working fine in Bluetooth mode, so I guess thats how I’ll be connecting from now on.
