Getting clicking with thunderbolt interface microphone

I’m using a Zoom TAC-2 Thunderbolt microphone interface with my iMac. I can pull up audio and playthrough with LineIn and other applications, and I get clear sound, and no delay.

When i use Djay, I initially get a half-second delay in my headphones. But if I switch to another microphone source, and then switch back to the Zoom TAC-2, it’s fine. But after about 20 seconds, a sporadic clicking sound will start to appear as I’m talking. Almost like a static sound.

But this doesn’t happen when I’m using other applications, so it’s definitely narrowed to Djay. Any ideas?

Hi Brian Ibbott,

thank you for your post and we are sorry to hear about your issue.

Can you tell us which operating system your Mac is using and which djay version you are using at the moment?

Cheers,
Lukas E.

Yes, I’m using MacOS 10.11.6 and djay Pro 1.3.1.

Last night I created a new account on my Mac and tried djay with that, and still got the clicking sound after about 20 seconds.

You can hear the clicking during a broadcast I tried recording last night. If you jump to 3min 40sec in the following video, you can hear it as I talk:
