HiI am running Djay on OS X 10.9.2. With Vestax VCI 100 controller and EQ on both channels are not working any help?ta

Mid & Low Eq on both channels using the controller both register as MID on DJAY?

Hi Andrew,

Please open “Configure…” from the “MIDI” menu and make sure that “Built-in mapping” is selected.

Can you please send a screenshot of the menu? Thanks!
Make sure to open the drop down menu for the screenshot.

Hi Andrew,

Sorry for the late reply. I somehow didn’t get notified about your last post.

Please click on the drop down menu next to “MIDI Configuration” and select “Built-in”.

Hmmm. Please open Finder and go to this folder:
/Music/djay/MIDI Mappings

Are there any files in this folder? If yes, please delete or move them to your Desktop and then try your controller again after retorting djay.

Please send an email to support(at)algoriddim.com so we can help you troubleshoot the issue.

The VCI 100 does not have a built-in sound card, so you’ll need additional hardware for pre-cueing. You can either get an external audio interface (USB sound card) or get the Griffin DJ Cable.

For better sound quality, I recommend getting a (multi-channel) USB sound card.

Please open “Preferences” from the “djay” menu, go to “Devices” and set up your sound card. For example:

  • Main Output:
  • Pre-cueing: Built-in

In this setup, you need to plug in your headphones to the Mac’s headphone out.

Thanks for the reply, I cannot see any built in mapping to select, under this menu.

Hi

I deleted these files but still no change :frowning:
Anything else I can try?

OK, using the hardware above to cue the next track in headphones do I need to purchase a lead?

Please reply

Hi

I have an audio interface sound card to run KRK Rokit 5 speakers with my MAC, but still cannot pre cue using headphones. I think I will have to get Traktor and start again.

Cheers
