How to carry over Hot Cues from Spotify to Local Music songs?

YOUR QUESTION:

  1. I often use Spotify to test out playlists that I want to use for a gig and as I’ve now been offered a slot at a local venue I would like to know how best I handle Spotify tracks that have created hot cues for. As I’d usually then purchase the tracks I’ve decided to play so that I have a local copy of the tracks. How do I get the saved hotcues, loops etc, that I’ve saved in my Spotify playlist within Djay, for my newly purchased local copy files?

Hi @BillPayer, if your purchased tracks are an exact match to your Spotify versions, djay will try to carry over the hot cues. So try to make sure you purchase versions with the exact same Title, Artist Name, Remix version and song length. Also, keep in mind that due to differences in encoding and song quality, the hot cues on your local songs might be slightly offset compared to the Spotify versions. I recommend you experiment with a small number of songs first to confirm the results.
