Thanks for the clarification and additional info @DJKamyR. I’ll discuss this with engineering and get back to soon.
Hi again @DJKamyR, we have not been able to replicate this issue with Automix and the Neural Mix (Harmonic Sustain) transition type. Can you please try to reproduce this again and capture another video?
Regarding the Neural Mix (Vocal Sustain), this transition type was not removed from Automix - it has never been offered as part of the Automix transitions.
Hi Slak_Jaw, I’ve recorded two more videos now. One is how the transition sounds in the auto-mix, and one is how it should sound when I mix it myself (roughly, since I’m on the go and am not very good at it on my phone). But you can hear in the auto-mix that there is no proper transition. So the beat from the new song, for example, doesn’t really flow into the first song; it’s more like the first song gets quieter and then the second song comes in. But it should be a seamless transition. So the beat comes in, is synchronized, and the listener doesn’t notice anything, just that it’s suddenly a different song.
Hi @DJKamyR, thanks for the additional videos.
- Can you please share another screenshot of your Automix Settings including Maximum Song Play Duration?
- Please also share a screenshot of your Crossfader FX settings including Tempo Blend and Auto-Transition Duration?
- Please confirm that you are using the Neural Mix (Harmonic Sustain) transition for Automix, but the Neural Mix (Vocal Sustain) for CFX. Please change CFX to the Neural Mix (Harmonic Sustain) and set the transition Duration for both CFX and Automix to the same value (ex. 4 or 8 bars). Then rerecord the mixes at the same transition point for both while using the Mix Now button for CFX instead of manually moving the crossfader. I want to ensure we are comparing “Apples & Apples” here.
