iOS Horizontal One Deck Mode

SUGGESTION: Horizontal One Deck Mode on the iphone

I use my iPhone as a secondary djay device during live sets, specifically as a third deck for taking song requests without interrupting my main mix. My setup routes my laptop to the A USB port on my Pioneer DDJ-REV7 and my iPhone to the B port. When I get a request, I switch to the B channel, mix in the requested track from my phone using either tidal or soundcloud for stems, then return to the laptop for my general set. It’s an efficient workflow, but the iPhone UI creates a real visibility and usability problem.

Because the charging port is at the bottom of my iPhone, I can only mount the device horizontally, because the vertical orientation isn’t physically viable in my setup. The current horizontal mode shows two decks, but since I’m only ever using one deck in this workflow, half the screen is wasted space. Vertical single-deck mode isn’t an option for the reason above.

A horizontal single-deck mode that splits the screen into two functional panels: jog wheel and waveform on one side, and Neural Mix, cue points, loop controls, FX, and EQ/filter on the other. This would dramatically improve both visibility and control during live performance.

This layout would also benefit any performer using a phone mount or stand where portrait orientation isn’t possible, so the use case extends well beyond my specific rig.
