Issues with track loading, playback, and crackling sound (Mixon 8, 2019 macBook Pro)

You’re right, I haven’t experienced any crashes at this point. Good to know that crash reports are automatically generated. However, I thought that something like an error report or log file might still be helpful at this stage to provide more insight into the issues.

@DJ_Big_Blender, okay thanks for confirming. Please send me your djay account info in a DM so I can pass it onto engineering anyway.

Can you please also share a screenshot of your Audio Devices settings when you are DJing live with the Reloop Mixon 8 Pro? Thanks!

First, I wanted to share the MIDI/sound settings that seem to work. Both device-clock-sources have the same sample frequency (48 kHz), and what seems to work right now is this:

  • When the clock source is set to Loudspeakers, I have Drift Correction enabled for the Reloop.
  • When the clock source is set to Reloop, I have Drift Correction enabled for the Loudspeakers.

I don’t know exactly what these two settings/sources do or whether both need to be set, but both configurations seem to work crackle-free at the moment in the headphone.

What in Algo’s experiences are the best settings for this?

Thanks for the info regarding your aggregate audio settings in macOS @DJ_Big_Blender, I’ve passed this on.

However, what I also need to see is your normal Audio Devices Settings from within djay with your Mixon 8 Pro connected and configured how you normally have is set for DJing live (see example screenshot from iOS for reference). Thanks!

Yes, sure, here it is. Nothing special.

I was working on this, but DJay doesn’t make it easy to capture this screen. The small screen disappears every time I try to capture it, as it gets hidden behind the main screen. (I was only able to capture it by adding a small time delay to the capture process.)

Excellent. Thanks @DJ_Big_Blender

By the way, I’m not currently logged in to my DJay account, and I’m also not logged in during live sessions.

In the past, I was logged in, but I didn’t see any advantages to doing so and thought it might even cause issues. Over time, I decided to log out.

When I was logged in, it must have been under the same account as the one I use here in the community (DJ_Big_Blender / djbigblender@gmail.com).

Got it. Thanks @DJ_Big_Blender

Hi @Slak_Jaw,
Ny MacBook Pro just came back from the Apple Service Provider.

They tested it thoroughly but didn’t find anything unusual or abnormal. Everything seemed to be working as it should.

Regarding this DJay account (@Slak_Jaw), would it be better (but safe?) for me to log in again so the team can access the crash or bug reports in case a real crash occurs?
