I would really be happy to be able to export my FX & midi settings to another macbook. Is there a way do do this ?
Hi @touchnez, you cannot copy your FX settings, but you can copy your custom MIDI Mappings. Please refer to the linked topic below for more details:
How do I (easily) sync all my DjayPro UI and filter settings, on demand, with my backup macOS computer please?
Are these stored in a single file that is / can be synced with iCloud? I can’t find any setting for this, and I have iCloud enabled.
I want the Instant FX, FX1 and 2 and Main channel effects all synced between my machines, so I can easily pull out my backup if something breaks in my main machine.
Please tell me that this is available, and/or something the dev team has been / is planning to work on? I can’t be the only DJ who needs an exact copy just in case, for paid gigs….
Unfortunately, syncing settings across devices doesn’t work. That would be a feature that would make things easier for many people, as would song analysis, which takes quite a bit of time overall when setting up a new device.
Hi @TEEE, @Chris_R is correct, this is not currently possible. I’ve merged your new topic with this existing Suggestion as they are closely related. Please vote above. Thanks.
Hi everyone, I want to add my vote and fully support this request. My setup is very similar to what @Zirrex described.
I run Djay Pro strictly locally on an M1 Pro. My entire library consists of meticulously tagged FLAC files (using Mp3tag) stored on a 1TB microSD card. I do this to guarantee 100% stability and zero latency during live sets, without ever relying on Wi-Fi or cloud syncing.
While the introduction of ‘OneLibrary’ was a good step forward for reading tracks and playlists across devices, it falls completely short for a professional disaster-recovery scenario. If my main Mac crashes right before a gig and I need to plug my SD card into a backup Mac or an iPad, having just the audio files isn’t enough.
Losing my customized FX routing, MIDI mappings, layout preferences, and worst of all, having to wait for the software to re-analyze hundreds of gigabytes of FLAC files on the spot is a nightmare.
We desperately need a true ‘Export/Backup Database & Settings to External Drive’ feature. Being able to plug in an external drive and instantly have the exact same software environment (analysis data, cue points, and app settings) is a standard requirement for club-ready tools. Please make this happen!
Thanks for the additional input @Albert_Maro
