Loop doesn’t stay in sync

Device model iphone 11 and macbook pro 2015

  • Version of operating system ios 17 and catalina for macbook
  • Version of djay 5.6.4
  • Hardware/controllers used flx10 and all controller used including no controller
  • Hardware firmware version latest update

A) SUMMARY OF ISSUE : loop doesnt stay in sync especially loop beat 2 downward

loop beat is activated on a sync deck it doesnt stay in sync and beat-matching is very hard when doing a transition or word play and this does not happen in serato dj pro

C) EXPECTED RESULTS : i want this issue be resolved in the next update as fast as possible Or these little issues should not hinder DJs from using djay conviniently

Hi @Brown_bkp, thanks for the details and video. Can you please check if one or both of these songs has a dynamic BPM?

No the song doesnt have a dynamic bpm particularly both songs used in the video above

Thanks for confirming @Brown_bkp. Can you please send me these two songs in a DM?

Do you mean i should send you the audio or the tracks name and also it happens with all the tracks not only a particular track

I noticed djay pro behave this way in songs that one is either set to dynamic and the second song is set to straight and when mixed together it doesnt stays in loop when activated and my sync mode is set to bpm only but when sync mode is set to bpm and beats it’s not that very obvious …however i have sent the 2 audio used in the video above to you

Thanks for the songs @Brown_bkp and confirming that one is in fact Dynamic BPM. I’ve shared everything with our engineers for review.

Hi again @Brown_bkp, our engineer was able to reproduce this and their investigating further. It seems that the loop with a Dynamic BPM song is causing the issue. When no loop is active, the grids of both tracks stay perfectly aligned. When a loop is active, setting both track BPMs to straight solves the issue.

For me personally, Instant Double is very important,

but I encounter other difficulties, such as loops that don’t stay synchronized despite having the same BPM.

I would also be grateful if you could look into creating a function that allows manually redefining the BPM by looping.

Hi @Mr_will, I’ve moved your comment to this thread as it seems to be more closely related. Can you please share the full details for your setup?

  1. Since this sounds repeatable, can you please capture and share a short screen recording of the issue to help clarify what’s happening?
  2. Can you please also confirm if either of your songs has a Dynamic BPM? Thanks!
