It would be great to be able to map the AUv3 Master effects. Most AUv3 plugins expose the midi parameters, so it should not be a problem to have a section in midi mapping for that.
And please make Djay remember the AUv3 used and load it automatically.
Also, it would be amazing if Djay could autogenerate a Midi clock from audio that is playing, so that even with manual sync (besides Ableton Link) there could be a clock sent to the master effect section (and possibly also to a midi out over USB).
Loading multiple AUv3 Plugins would also be amazing. By adding this, I could see the Djay software evolve even more into a mix of DJing and live act.
Thanks for the suggestions @axibert. Good ideas. I have forwarded this to the dev team for consideration. I have also separated these 4 suggestions internally, but in the future, please create a separate topic for each suggestion so it is easier for us to track. Thanks!
I thought there was a topic for this? I canât seem to find it, though.
The fact that it exists at all was a lifesaver yesterday. I had a gig in a cave (literally) and the acoustics were terrible, as you would expect. The default Apple EQ saved the day, though. Iâm pretty sure the master effect was disabled once the modal dialog was closed (I need to double-check that).
This is obviously far from ideal because you canât move the window to another screen, and it has to be open. So, you can only move it somewhere way down on your screen. Not very professional, IMO.
Anyway, auto saving the current state of the master effect would be great.
Like many others before me, I would also like to have an EQ in the output section whose settings are saved.
Just because some people here think that this would be better solved with hardware doesnât mean that there arenât just as many people who would like to solve it with software.
I am one of those who would prefer to solve it in software.
Yes, thank you. This works, but these settings canât be saved.
In my opinion, this belongs in the main program and not in an additional window where you have to worry about losing all your settings if you accidentally close the window.
This sort of stuff always puzzles me. Why not save the setup? Especially stuff like this. A main output effect has about 99.9% chance of being used again in the next session.
As clever as the crew is, some of these obvious features like saving the key lock state took ages before it was implemented.
Nothing but love from me though! Just scratching my head.
Your question:
Hallo,
is there a way to save the selected Main-Out FX ? When I close DJ Pro AI 5.5 (Mac) and start it again the selected Main-Out FX is âno effectâ ?
Thx,
Christian
Hi @myownflashback, currently there is not way to save this. Iâve moved your comment to this existing suggestion topic though. Please use the blue Vote button at the top left of this page so we can gauge user demand for this suggestion. Thanks!
Hi. I have looked in the manual and a search here, but I canât seem to find any info. Is there a way to use multiple effects on the master output and is it possible to save the settings? Thanks.
If only we could save master output effects! (Iâd also like to be able to have my master output level survive djay quits/relaunchesâŚ)
as to stacking effectsâŚno. that canât be done in djay yet either. youâd have to also be running AUM, with djayâs output on one of AUMâs faders ;-D
